Voluntary Food Recall: Harlan Bakeries - Edmonton
Apr 25th, 2017 Harlan Bakeries - Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, a sister company to Apple Valley Foods, announced a voluntary food recall on various brands of pie and tart shells due to possible E. coli 0121 contamination. Consumers should not consume the recalled products described in the food recall. The products were manufactured and sold to Canadian Customers only.

The voluntary food recall was due to a contaminated raw material (flour) Harlan Bakeries - Edmonton facility utilized to produce unbaked pie and tart shells. It became known to Harlan after CFIA's investigation into consumer complaint(s) related to contaminated lots of Flour from Ardent Mills.
